The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on mutual cooperation between Vietnam-Korea Business Center (VKBC) and Vinaconex Investment and Tourism Development JSC. (Vinaconex ITC)
On May 23rd, 2012 the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Vietnam – Korea Business Center (VKBC) and Vinaconex - ITC at the office of Vinaconex – ITC.



Vietnam – Korea Business Center (Association of foreign – invested enterprises) was established with the aim of supporting and creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises in the process of understanding the environment, laws and business opportunities in Vietnam as well as to answer, solving the difficulties for Korean enterprises who are investing in Vietnam.

Vietnam – Korea are countries who had co-operations in various fields. In the new world context, the relationship of two countries is increasing and the potential of cooperation is still large. Therefore, it is necessary to have new, practical and efficient investment methods in both Korea and Vietnam. VKBC was established for these purposes and promoting cooperation between two countries to the higher levels.

According to the data of Foreign Investment Agency – Ministry of Planning and Investment in March 2011, there were 2739 Korean projects with total registered investment capital of $22.3 billion. The foreign investment of Korea to Vietnam is always in the top three largest investors in Vietnam. In the first two months of 2012, there were eight FDI projects of Korean investors updated and 4 projects increased total capital to more than $11 million, rank No 8 in the amount of total investment capital in Vietnam.

At the signing ceremony, the representatives of the BKBC were really excited and interested in Cat Ba – Amatina project as well as the potential investment for enterprises in Vietnam. Mr. Pak Sung Chan – Chairman of VKBC and Mr. Shim Yang Sik – General Director of VKBC had the same opinion in evaluating Cat Ba – Amatina project that are really exciting project and will be a new destination in the future. Cat Ba – Amatina project would be a highlighted attraction for foreign investors in general and Korean investor in particular as well.

The signing ceremony of MOU between Vinaconex – ITC and VKBC was held successfully, promising and opening a good cooperation for the development and investment between Vietnam - Korea.
